THE SANTA CLARITA VALLEY WATER AGENCY ACT – SB 634

During 2016 and 2017, Gary worked with the leadership of the Castaic Lake Water Agency and the Newhall County Water District, and with State Senator Scott Wilk to enact legislation (Senate Bill 634) to create the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency. In the fall of 2017 Governor Jerry Brown signed SB 634 into law and SCV Water was born. Since its first day of existence on January 1, 2018, he has worked to ensure that SCV Water continues to provide its customers with a reliable supply of high quality water at a reasonable cost. His steadfast commitment and dedication to this mission will remain unchanged in his next term on the Board.
